Paix Sur Terre is dedicated to producing Mourvedre based wines along with small lots of Syrah and Grenache from carefully selected vineyards located on the west side of Paso Robles, California. Year Founded: 2010

Q. How much have you grown in ten years?

A. In the past 10 years we have gone from 300 cases to 2,000 cases.  We opened our Tasting Room on Vineyard Drive and now produce white wines and rosé in addition to our red wines.  We also started a wine club that is now quite large.

Q. How have your wines been received?

A. We feel our wines have been received extremely well.  We constantly receive scores of 92-96 on our wines.  Many of our wines sell out either upon release or within the first few months of their release date.  We've earned the reputation for having some of the best white wines in Paso Robles.

Q. Has your winemaking style or philosophy changed over the years?

A. Yes.  It has moved towards lower alcohol, higher acidity wines with zero intervention.  All of our fruit now comes from organic or biodynamically farmed vineyards located on the west side of Paso Robles.

Q. How has the Garagiste Festival affected you?

A. It was a great springboard for us early in our winemaking career to get our name out there and share our wines with the general public.  We have lots of fun members of our wine club who never would have found us if it wasn't for our participation in the festival.

Q. What’s the most important thing that you know now that you didn’t know when you first started?

A. Make sure you have somewhere easily accessible to pour and share your wines with consumers.  It's important to have a tasting room or location early on to enable growth more quickly.  We didn't open our tasting room until 7 years after we started making wine which really inhibited our growth those first 5 or so years.

A. We love being a part of the Paso Robles wine community and are fortunate to be included with so many young winemakers who have ben able to successfuly grow their brands over this past decade.
